PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission information collecting system that can easily provide traffic information by each service class to users of an IP communication network at a high-speed without the need for a particular pilot packet for collecting traffic information and for a particular communication protocol to collect the traffic information and give no concentrated processing loads to a particular system when realizing the provision of the traffic information. SOLUTION: When a request of traffic information collection is sent to a request accept node, the node collects traffic information of its own node, the node generates an information request packet and transfers the packet to a request relay node adjacent to the node on a path. The request relay node transmits the traffic information of its own to the request accept node, and transfers an information request packet to an adjacent request relay node on the path. A request termination node transmits the traffic information of its own to the request accept node and aborts the received information request packet.
