PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a dial operation without disturbing photographing preparing action by surely grasping a camera at a grip part in the information input operation of the camera, and to improve operability without making the dial project on a back cover nor making the grip part larger. SOLUTION: In this camera having an information input means consisting of an information inputting operation member for inputting information and a detection means for detecting that the operation member is operated, the rotary shaft of the information inputting operation member is arranged nearly orthogonally to the optical axis of a photographic lens and nearly in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the grip part having a projecting part long lengthwise for grasping the camera. The information inputting operation member is provided between the grip part and the photographic lens.
