PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector inspecting method and an optical connector inspecting device capable of inspecting precisely and easily the position of a guide hole, and an optical connector inspected by the connector inspecting method. SOLUTION: When the optical connector 20 is inspected, a cylindrical body 24 having a diameter same to a large portion of the guide hole 21 is inserted into the guide hole 21, the transparent cylindrical body 24 is irradiated with light from a light source 18A, and an end face of the transparent cylindrical body 24 is image-picked up by a CCD camera 17. An edge of the cylindrical body 24 is extracted based on an image data of the cylindrical body 24, in an image processor, and the center position of the guide hole 21 is found based on edge information of the cylindrical body 24. The center position of the guide hole 21 can be detected precisely because the image data in which the outline of the edge of the cylindrical body 24 is clear, can be obtained.
