PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a broader band and maximization of a synthetic wave level by reducing level change in the case of change ofπradian in a broad band. SOLUTION: In this diversity receiver which includes a first antenna B, a second antenna A having a phase switching means of received waves, a synthesizer 11 for combining received waves of the respective antennas A, B, a field strength detection means 15 for detecting the field strength of the synthesized waves and diversity control means (16, 17, 18) for transmitting a phase switch control signal to the phase switching means on the basis of output from the field strength detection means 15 and which changes the phase of the received wave on the side of the second antenna B byπradians by using the phase switching means when the field strength of the synthetic waves becomes equal to or lower than a prescribed level, a double-balanced mixer 12 is used as the phase switching means.
