PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control device allowing continuous operation as set without changing operating conditions set at starting operation even in the case of the mischief of a child on operation switches. SOLUTION: The remote control device 1 for transmitting contents set by the operation of any of the operation switches 3 to an air-conditioner 9 comprises the various operation switches 3 and a control part 6 for controlling the various operation switches 3. A locking circuit 7 is provided in the control part 6 for invalidating the operation of the operation switches 3. The locking circuit 7 is executed by the operation of a lock switch 4 provided separately from the various operation switches 3. With the mischief of a child on the operation switches 3, the air-conditioning operation is continued as set without a change of the contents set at starting operation.
