PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide conductive particles that do not have cracks or peeling in the metallic coated layer against the large compressive deformation and thereby, the conductive connecting member using the particles gives reliable conductive connection. SOLUTION: This is a conductive particle in which a metallic layer is coated on a crosslinked polymer particle and a metallic layer making contact with the crosslinked polymer particle is formed of copper or an alloy containing copper, and the metallic coated layer does not have cracks or peeling in the appearance by SEM observation in the non-load state after 30% compressive deformation of the conductive particle.
