<p>A disposable apparatus for use in blood testing is adapted for simultaneous dilution of a blood sample (S) into two different dilution ratios. A block-shaped housing (1) has a first (19) and a second (20) receptacle; a first (27) and a second (28) cylinder, each having a piston (29, 30) moveable therein and each containing a defined volume of a diluent (D1, D2); a valve (8, 13) including a valve body (13) having three valve body channels (14, 15, 16) extending therethrough and being positionable in three distinct positions (I, II, III). In one position (II) the receptacles (19, 20) are put in simultaneous communication with one each of the cylinders (27, 28) through pairs of the channels (14/15, 14/16). One of the receptacles (20), as a first means for receiving a blood sample, is adapted to receive a blood sampling capillary tube (23).</p> |
