PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase discharge capacity and lower an operating voltage while reducing size and weight, in a nonaqueous primary battery. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous primary battery is composed by disposing a positive electrode active material 4 containing nickel oxyhydroxide as a principal component and a negative electrode active material 5 formed of a light metal between a positive electrode terminal 2 and a negative electrode terminal 3 by separating them with a separator 6, and provided with a nonaqueous electrolyte. By including a conductive agent and a binder in the positive electrode active material and by including at least one or more kinds of a fluorine resin such as polytetrafluoroethylene and vinylidene fluoride, or a butadiene-styrene resin in the binder, the nonaqueous primary battery having high discharge capacity and a low operating voltage can be provided. |
