PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device which improves the exhaust emission control performance, while suppressing reduction of the engine output with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device comprises an exhaust pipe 2a to form an exhaust passage 2 communicated with an exhaust port of an engine, and a catalyst installed in the exhaust passage 2 to control the exhaust gas. A first honeycomb catalyst device 3a forms an exhaust gas blow- out passage 200 between an outer circumferential surface and an inner wall surface of the exhaust pipe 2a, and has a first metal carrier having a large number of through holes along the longitudinal direction of the exhaust passage 2. A second honeycomb catalyst part 4a is disposed on the second fitting position of the exhaust passage 2 and has a second metal carrier having a large number of through holes along the longitudinal direction of the exhaust pipe 2a. The second area in the radial direction of a catalyst area of the first honeycomb catalyst part 3a is divided by the inner wall surface at the first fitting position of the exhaust passage 2, and set to be in a range of 1/5 to 2/3 of the sectional area of a flow passage except the first honeycomb catalyst part 3a. |
