PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembly performance of a lever having electric components inside and to keep good appearance. SOLUTION: Lead wires 18 are connected to the connecting terminals 17 of the substrate 14 constituting the electric component and then the substrate 14 is fitted to the substrate fitting part 5 of the lever base 1, and the intermediate parts of the lead wires are inserted into the lead-wire guide part 6 at the large diameter part 2, and then, a cylindrical cover member 20 is fitted on the outside of the lever base 1 so as to cover the large diameter part 2 and the substrate 14 as a whole. There is no necessity of work for inserting the lead wire 18 into thin lead-wire insertion holes. Since the large diameter part 2, the substrate 14 and the lead wires 18 are covered by the cover member 20, it is not necessary to form a cut-out or the like on the cover member 20.
