PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample injector for a moisture measuring device capable of simply extruding a sample which is a viscous substance, and having the barrel inner surface to which the sample hardly adheres. SOLUTION: First of all, a rod 11a is advanced to a cylinder member 12 by using a handle 11b of a moving member 11, and its tip part 11c is projected from the tip part 12c of the cylinder member 12. Since a recessed part RE formed on the tip side of the rod 11a is exposed in this state, a sample SA having a high viscosity is stuck to the recessed part RE. Then, the rod 11a is retreated relative to the cylinder member 12 by using the handle 11b of the moving member 11, to store the tip part 11c in the cylinder member 12. Hereby, a second sealing member 13b is engaged airtightly with the tip part 12c of the cylinder member 12, while keeping airtightness between the center side of the rod 11a and the root side of the cylinder member 12, to thereby enable to seal airtightly the recessed part RE where the sample is stick in the cylinder member 12.
