PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device which reduces driving output necessary for a front feed pump, prevents fuel heating, and attains simple and inexpensive sealing. SOLUTION: This fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine includes a fuel accumulator 16, a high pressure fuel pump 14 for feeding the fuel to the fuel accumulator in accordance with operating parameters of the internal combustion engine, the front feed pump 12 for feeding the fuel to the suction side of the high pressure fuel pump from a fuel tank 10, a fuel amount regulating device 44 for regulating the fuel amount fed to the fuel accumulator by the high pressure fuel pump, and at least one injector 20 for jetting the fuel in the internal combustion engine and connected to the fuel accumulator. The fuel amount regulating device 44 is disposed between the fuel tank 10 and the suction side of the front feed pump 12. |
