PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of yielding a high-quality image by preventing the occurrence of a white stripe on a toner image caused by the excessive accumulation of developer in front of a 1st regulating member even in the case of narrowing a gap between a developer carrier and the 1st regulating member. SOLUTION: This developing device is equipped with the developer carrier 4 having a magnetic field generating means 5 inside and carrying and feeding two-component developer including toner and magnetic carrier, the 1st regulating member 6' for regulating the amount of the developer carried and fed by the developer carrier 4, a developer storing part 7 storing the developer scraped by the member 6', a toner storing part supplying the toner 12 to the developer carrier 4, and a 2nd regulating member 8 for self-controlling the amount of the toner taken in from the toner storing part by changing the contact state of the developer with the toner in accordance with the change of the toner concentration of the developer on the developer carrier 4. In the device, the member 6' is non-magnetic substance. |
