PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system and method for informing a caller about a state in details and informing a mobile station about the arrival of a call when the call arrives at the mobile station mounted on an aircraft. SOLUTION: A boarding gate 104 is provided with a wireless communication apparatus 105 that transmits the operation information of the aircraft. The mobile station 103 receives the operation information sent by the wireless communication apparatus 105 provided to the boarding gate 104 and informs an exchange control station 102 about the received operation information via a base station 101. The exchange control station 102 stores the informed operation information and informs a sender device about a reply message denoting the operation information at the arrival of a call. On the other hand, the exchange control station 102 informs a called party about the arrival of the call at a communication terminal 401 via an aircraft phone line network 400.
