<p>The invention relates to a device and method for measuring parameters of periodic oscillatory signals. Said device comprises a sigma-delta modulator and a zero-crossing detector. The inventive method employs the aforementioned device and comprises the following steps: a) the periodic oscillatory signal, of which the parameters are to be measured, is introduced into the sigma-delta modulator and into the zero-crossing detector; b) said signal is coded in the sigma-delta modulator into pulses of ones and zeros and a synchronisation signal is generated using the zero-crossing detector; and c) the signals obtained in step b) are processed in a synchronised manner using digital processing circuits. The invention is suitable for use in the field of analogue and mixed integrated circuits. More specifically, the invention can be used to evaluate and test analogue signals by extracting oscillatory parameters using digital technology.</p> |
