A method of separating unicellular microorganisms depending on difference in cell proliferation/differentiation stages. Namely, means of separating and fractionating unicellular microorganisms such as bacteria depending on difference in the proliferation states to thereby specify the type and expression dose of the gene expressed in each state. It is clarified that the cell density of Escherichia coli discontinuously increases as aging or differentiation proceeds. Thus, it is found out that unicellular microorganisms can be separated depending on difference in cell proliferation/differentiation stages by percol centrifugation. Accordingly, comprehensive gene expression control can be analyzed with the use of a homogeneous cell mass.
|
