<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric brake device allowing installation of a compensation mechanism when a brake member or the like is worn away in an electric motor converting its rotation into a linear motion by a cam mechanism. SOLUTION: A drive-side cam member 6 provided with a magnet 8 on an shaft part 7 is rotated to rotate a drive side cam surface 16 when a coil 5 is applied with a current. In this case, a roller 25 between the drive side cam surface 16 and a driven side cam surface 22 of a driven side cam member 11 opposing thereto is rotated to press a brake pad 20 on a brake rotor 24 through the driven side cam member 11 for generating a braking force. When the brake pad 20 or the like is worn away, torsion spring 32 rotates a compensation shaft 30, moves a nut member 31 axially, and moves the brake pad 20 toward the brake disc 24 by the wearing amount through a bearing 10, the drive side cam member 6 and the driven side cam member 11 to compensate. The compensation shaft 30 is supported by a one-way clutch 33 to prevent reverse rotation at a braking operation.</p> |
