摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscopic device achieving a function for changing an irradiation angle at one stroboscopic part according to the luminance of a subject in the case of auto-focusing, used as a device for auxiliary light and suitable for the reduction of cost and the miniaturization of a camera. SOLUTION: This stroboscopic device 4 is mainly composed of an irradiation angle variable mechanism 4A, a stroboscopic discharge tube 5 generating light in the case of stroboscopic photography, a reflector 6 reflecting the light generated by the tube 5 toward a subject side, and a diffusion plate 7 attached to be driven in a back-and-forth direction with respect to the optical axis direction of a photographic lens 2 through the mechanism 4A and driven in the back-and- forth direction to change the irradiation angle of the reflected light from the reflector 6 by the mechanism 4A. The mechanism 4A is constituted of a bias spring 8 and a driving spring 9 consisting of shape memory alloy. When the luminance of the subject is low, the mechanism 4A is driven so that the plate 7 may be positionally separated from the reflector 6 and the tube 5 owing to its elongation due to heat action by energizing the spring 9. Thus, the irradiation angle of strobe light becomes small. The irradiation angle of the strobe light can be changed in such a way.
