PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid tight connector with which liquid does not penetrate inside the connector and electric stability can be secured even when it is coupled within liquid. SOLUTION: The liquid tight connector comprises a pair of receptacle and plug composed of a convex formed male electrode section and of female electrode section with concave configuration to be fitted with a male electrode section housed within a protection case for fastening. The receptacle and the plug are equipped with insulated sections with flat coupling surface where the male or female electrode section is passed through and is open to outside. A sealing section to seal around the male electrode section is arranged at the fitting surface of the insulation section of the receptacle and a hollow section is arranged to embed the sealing section at the fitting surface of the insulation section for either receptacle or plug side. It is so configured that the depth of the hollow section is less deeper than the height of the sealing section and the width of the hollow section is wider than the maximum width of the variation of the sealing section caused by the pressure generated between both of the insulation sections when the receptacle and the plug are fitted together.
