PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small size, light weight and low-in-cost optical and electric compound connector. SOLUTION: An electric connector 2 is equipped at one end with an electric wire joint section (c) at the back wall 16e which arranged a plurality of square pin insertion holes 16f passing through and communicating with each of a plurality of insertion holes 16a formed at a contact housing 16 firmly installed within an exterior housing 3 and at the other end with an electric connector plug joint section (d) of an optical and electric compound connector plug B equipped with incorporated optical and electric connector plug 19, 13. An optical connector 1 is equipped at one end with a formed plug joint section (a) fitted with other plug by way of a sleeve 10 within a cylinder section 8 arranged in the center of an internal housing of the exterior housing 3 and at the other end with a formed optical connector plug joint section (b) fitting at making contact status with other plug 11 with ferrule 14 of the optical plug connector 13 fitted with the joint section (a). The optical and electric compound connector equipment is composed of the incorporated the electric connector 2 and the optical connector 1 arranged side by side.
