A lighting apparatus for a vehicle(21) includes a light source (22) attached inside the vehicle (21), such as to an "A" pillar(23) adjacent front of a side window(24) of the vehicle (21), where the light source(22) is oriented to direct light toward a ground area adjacent the vehicle(21) for security and convenience. Variations include also reflecting a portion of the light from the light source(22) off an outside rearview mirror onto the ground area, and also directing a portion of the light toward an area inside the vehicle(21). |
