PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head capable of improving recording performance more than conventionally. SOLUTION: This recording head 100B includes a recording magnetic pole 22 arranged near a reproducing head 100A to execute perpendicular recording on a magnetic disk 40 and a magnetic flux feedback magnetic pole 23 arranged far from the reproducing head 100A and formed separately from an upper shield 26 to function as the feedback path of a magnetic flux 14. A magnetic circuit is constituted to include the recording magnetic pole 22 and the magnetic flux feedback magnetic pole 23 and to be completely closed magnetically, and the magnetic flux 14 fed back from the magnetic flux feedback magnetic pole 23 to the recording magnetic pole 22 is prevented from flowing into the lower shield 16 or the upper shield 26. Thus, the magnetic flux 14 never flows into the lower shield 16 or the upper shield 26. Since problems caused by the leakage of the magnetic flux 14 from the recording head 100B to the reproducing head 100A are suppressed, recording performance is improved more than conventionally.
