PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image monitoring system which is capable of specifying the position of a camera and the location of a monitored object, and catching the image of the monitored object at the center of an image screen even if the monitored object moves quickly. SOLUTION: An image monitoring system is equipped with an ID signal transmitter 1 which outputs radio waves W1 containing the ID, a drive camera 2 which tracks and senses the image of the ID signal transmitter 1 on the basis of the radio waves W1, and monitoring the terminals 4 to 6 which display images picked up by the drive camera 2. A monitored object is made to carry the ID signal transmitter 1 with him, images sensed by the drive camera 2 are displayed on the monitoring terminals 4 to 6, corresponding to the requests made by the monitoring terminals 4 to 6 for monitoring. When the image sensed by the drive camera 2 is displayed, a region which can be covered by the drive camera 2 is displayed, an object serving as a mark is displayed in the region, and an image sensing direction which indicates the direction in which the drive camera 2 faces is displayed, interlocking with the tracking of the drive camera 2.
