PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a downshifting against a will of a rider even when traveling states such as bicycle speed are detected frequently. SOLUTION: A gear change operating part has a gear change control part for controlling gear change of the gear change controller for the bicycle having a plurality of speed stages with different gear ratios and capable of shifting up and shifting down by a driving means. The gear change control part is connected with a power generating hub outputting a signal responding to the bicycle speed, it determines whether or not the detected bicycle speed S is lower than a preset first downshift threshold D1(VP) every time the bicycle speed S is acquired from the power generating hub, and when it is determined that a detection result is lower than the first downshift threshold D1(VP) and all detection results of one or a plurality of subsequent travelling states are lower than the first downshift threshold D1(VP), a motor is controlled so as to change to a speed change with a small gear ratio. |
