PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recorder/reproducer for preventing the unlimited copy of contents data, and ensuring the convenience of the edition of the contents data. SOLUTION: This data recorder/reproducer is provided with an incorporated memory 6 for storing digital data such as contents data, reproduction data inputting means 1 and 2 for inputting a prescribed reproduction data signal from an external data reproducing means, and for recording contents data based on the reproduction data signal in the incorporated memory 6, reproduction signal generating means 7 and 8 for generating a reproduction signal based on the contents data, and an external media interface 9 for transferring contents data with external media. The contents data to be transferred from the incorporated memory to the external media are enciphered by using either device ID being the identification information of the data recorder/reproducer or media ID being the identification information of the external media acquired from the external media, and the enciphered contents data are decoded and reproduced. |
