PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera in which a reproducing process time is shortened and the fault of reproducing and displaying is prevented. SOLUTION: The digital camera comprises a lens 1 for focusing the optical image of a subject, a mechanical shutter 2 for passing or shutting off a luminous flux, a CCD 3 for photoelectrically transducing the optical image, a CDS/AS unit 4 for correlated double sampling a CCD signal and A-D converting, a DSP unit 5 for JPEG-compressing the A-D converted digital signal and digital signal processing the signal, a driver 6 for driving a mechanical part, a CCD drive circuit 7, a CPU 8 for controlling the entire camera, a memory 9 for temporarily holding the data, a communication driver 10 for communicating with the exterior of the camera, a memory card LL detachable from the camera, a display unit 12 having an LCD, a SW unit 13 operable by a camera user, a pen input unit 14 capable of storing the locus of a writing tip in the memory, and an external unit 15. |
