<p>An antenna for a portable device, in which a first element comprises a flexible wire conductor (2) and another element comprises an electrically conductive casing or electromagnetic shield of the device (1). The elements are typically elements of a dipole; the dipole is asymmetric, with the sum of the effective lengths of the elements (1, 2) being approximately a half wavelength but the effective lengths of each pole being different.</p> |
