PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device which reliably avoids any over-trapping condition of a catalyst regeneration type particulate filter. SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device equipped with a catalyst regeneration type particulate filter 12 in the middle of an exhaust pipe 11 with the exhaust gas 9 distributed therein comprises fuel-supplying means (a control device 17 and a fuel injector 18) to supply the fuel in the exhaust gas 9 on the upstream side of the particulate filter 12, and temperature rising means (an intake throttle valve 21 and an EGR valve 15: intake throttling means) to raise the catalyst floor temperature to the temperature at which the oxidation reaction of the fuel supplied by the fuel supplying means is enabled.
