PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To curtail time needed for an ITC assembly and adjustment of a color cathode-ray tube device and to do without needs for a driving power source for luster display for each color cathode-ray tube. SOLUTION: A color selection mechanism (5) of a color cathode-ray tube is heated (111) with a high frequency coil (10) and an ITC adjustment (104) including landing adjustment and convergence adjustment is made in its heated state. The above color selection mechanism (5) may be heated by positioning the high frequency coil (10) outside a panel part (1a) of the cathode-ray tube and by passing current to it so that the high frequency coil (10) generates electromagnetic waves. The size and position of the high frequency coil (10) is desired to be so arranged not to heat an explosion-protection band (7) tightening the panel part of the cathode-ray tube.
