<p>A data link connector for high frequency use e.g. for the transfer of data between telecommunications networks, consisting of a connector part, a transition part and a tensile relief part, wherein a cable having a plurality of conductors twisted in pairs and insulated from each other extends from the connector part, through the transition part and the tensile relief part further through a cable sheath. The cable may be of the so-called CAT 5 standard, which is intended to transfer data at minimum 100 Mbps. To ensure that the conductors twisted in pairs, which may have diameters of 0.5 mm, do not change high frequency characteristic by a pull in the cable causing the conductors to change dimensions and thereby characteristic in the high frequency range, the transition part is formed with an angle of e.g. 90° according to the invention in which the conductors are embedded curvilinearly. Hereby, a pull in the cable will not affect the dimensions of the conductors and thereby their transfer characteristic. Further, the invention relates to an interconnecting cable having a link connector of the above-mentioned type at each end.</p> |
