PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor illumination apparatus from which water, even if entered inside, can be drained smoothly, by giving an enclosed structure in which rain water and insects or the like can hardly enter. SOLUTION: This outdoor illumination apparatus is composed of an illumination unit 2 and transparent plates covering the openings 8, 9, and drain ditches 21A, 21B, 21C that are formed in the periphery of the openings 8, 9 of the illumination unit 2, and is further provided with a drain hole 20 in the downstream. A float valve 24 that opens and closes the driven hole as an automatic open and shut valve is provide at the drain hole 20. Thereby, the rain water entered through the gap between the illumination unit 2 and the transparent plates 10 or the like is collected at the drain hole 20 through the drain ditches 21A-21C and drained from the drain hole 20, and after drainage, the drain hole 20 is closed by the float valve 24. Therefore, the inside is not contaminated and a prescribed illumination intensity can be maintained for a long time. |
