<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compactPCI-based computer system on which many system processor cards can operate. SOLUTION: A CompactPCI-based computer system (10) including a chassis (12) which has a front (46) and a back (48) and contains electronic components and a mid-plane board (14) which is positioned between a front and back of the chassis and forms bus circuitry form a plurality of CompactPCI form factor slots, including front slots (F) extending from the front part of the chassis to the mid-plane board and back slots (B) extending from the rear part of the chassis to the mid-plane board. Further, at least one of the front slot and at least one of the rear slots receive compact PCI system processor cards (80, 100) to provide independent bus connectors (64a) for them.</p> |
