PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and weight of a battery pack to the utmost while keeping safety and durability for the battery pack. SOLUTION: An electronic circuit component 28 for controlling the charge- discharge condition for a rectangular battery body 12 is tightly disposed on a side face 72 of the battery body 12, and a positive electrode 90a and a negative electrode 90b are extended toward the upper end face 18 of the battery body 12 and toward the lower end face 86 thereof, respectively. The mounting surface 72 of the electronic component and the upper and lower end faces are covered with a U-shaped first protective member 16 formed so as to make its circumferential surface continue to the circumferential surface of the battery body 12 in mounting it, and its circumference is surrounded by a second protective member to protect the circuit component 28 and a lead wire 92 part reaching the electrode 90. |
