PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device the circuit scale of which can be reduced. SOLUTION: First and second CCD driver circuits 33a, 33b alternately extract first and second image signals Ya(t), Yb(t) at each prescribed time from the first and second CCD solid-state imaging elements 31a, 31b. A selection circuit 36 alternately capture the first and second image signals Ya(t), Yb(t) in a timing in response to an operation timing of the first and second CCD solid-state imaging elements and provide the output of an image signal Y(t). Thus, the output side of the selection circuit 36 substantially configures the composite state of the first and second image signals Ya(t), Yb(t).
