PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of carrying out effective heat- exchanging and effectively cooling a reaction product flowing out such as synthesis gas. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger is designed such that at least divisions of a flow path are curved vortically or spirally around a central axis of a tube path device as their center, consequently, fluid to be heated flows around a tube path 6 furnished with a flowing-out reaction product while roughly vertically abrasing it, and the fluid to be heated is at least once guided toward inside from outside or outside from inside relative to the central axis of the tube path device.
