PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To associate the remainder of a secondary battery with work to be made by portable equipment for easy display. SOLUTION: When the secondary battery is to be used as a power supply, for example, for an impact driver, numbers indicate how many screw-clamping operations by the impact driver can be made. Therefore, the amount of discharge during one work period by the impact driver is obtained and stored. The average value of the amount of discharge during work periods for the last plurality of times is obtained, and the remaining number of possible operations is calculated and displayed from the average value and the remainder of the battery.
