PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a servo device for reducing the time required for adjusting servo loop gain so that the various kinds of dispersions on the servo loop are absorbed. SOLUTION: This device is furnished with: an error signal amplitude detecting means 62 for detecting the amplitude of the error signal; a 1st gain adjusting means 63 with variable gain arranged on the servo loop; a gain setting means 17 coping with the error signal amplitude for setting the gain of the 1st gain adjusting means 63 on the basis of the detection result of the error signal amplitude detecting means 62; a 2nd gain adjusting means 68 with variable gain arranged on the servo loop; and a closed loop adjusting means 69 for performing the closed loop gain adjusting process such as injecting a signal of specified frequency to the servo loop to compare the phases of a signal gone around the servo loop from this injection point and the signal injected to the servo loop and for setting the gain of the 2nd gain adjusting means 68 on the basis of the result of this comparison.
