PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recorder which simply and quickly conducts an analysis of the cause of a recording abnormality when the abnormality is occurred. SOLUTION: The information recorder is provided with at least video signal processing means LSI1, LSI2, LSI3, etc., which conduct processes to record video signals to a magnetic recording medium 7 and a recording abnormality detecting/correcting/controlling means 10 which records information related to the recording abnormality into an empty recording region of the medium 7 with real time information and user's operating information when the abnormality is occurred in the recording to the medium 7 by the abnormality of the video signal processing means.
