PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a papermaking apparatus capable of solving problems that the degree of uniform filling of a papermaking liquid depends on the degree of movement of human hands and filling of fibers for repair is insufficient so as to cause unevennesses of thickness in a part of the resultant paper or perforate a part of the resultant paper in conventional formation of Japanese paper or foreign paper. SOLUTION: This papermaking apparatus comprises a pouring means (3) for the papermaking liquid capable of pouring the papermaking liquid into a papermaking sheetlike material (91), a means (4) for papermaking operation capable of applying shaking and/or tilting shaking in the front and rear and/or left and right directions to the papermaking sheetlike material (91), a filtration sheetlike material (92), the papermaking liquid, etc., in a papermaking bath (41) so as to make the papermaking liquid uniformly flow on the papermaking sheetlike material (91) and a sucking means (5) capable of applying sucking actions on the papermaking sheetlike material (91) and the papermaking liquid held in the papermaking bath (41) during pouring of the papermaking liquid and/or during papermaking operation and passing the papermaking liquid through the papermaking sheetlike material (91). Thereby, the filling of the fibers for repair is assured without causing unevenness of thickness in the resultant paper and without perforating the part of the resultant paper.
