An entry sheet for drilling for a printed wiring board material, which comprises a water-soluble resin (A) and a water-insoluble lubricant (B) as essential components, an entry sheet for drilling for a printed wiring board material, which sheet comprises a metal foil having a thickness of 5 to 200 mum and a thermosetting resin (E) layer having an average thickness of 1 to 10 mum, the thermosetting resin (E) layer being formed on one surface of the metal foil, and a method for drilling a hole by using the above entry sheet.
