PURPOSE: An apparatus for recirculation of exhaust gas for a diesel engine and a control method of the same are provided to reduce pollution and to increase output of the engine. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus includes a water spray unit comprising a venturi part(23) formed on one side of an EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation system) pipe(9) connected with a suction channel(3); a water tank(27) connected with the venturi part by a water supply pipe(25), and storing water therein; an opening and closing valve(29) installed on one side of the water supply pipe to open and close the water supply pipe depending on control signal of an ECU(Electronic Control Unit); and an EGR pressure sensor(31) installed on one side of the EGR pipe, and detecting pressure of re-circulated gas re-circulated in the suction channel through the EGR pipe to output EGR pressure signal to the ECU. A method includes the steps of: a step detecting engine RPM signal, EGR pressure signal and mapped fuel amount signal by an RPM sensor and the EGR pressure sensor; a step determining the engine RPM and the fuel amount are within EGR condition mapped in the ECU; a step returning to the first step when the engine RPM and the fuel amount is not within the EGR condition, and re-circulating exhaust gas to the suction channel through the EGR pipe by actuating the EGR valve when the engine RPM and the fuel amount is within the EGR condition; a step determining whether pressure of re-circulated gas is over a set pressure; a step turning on the opening and closing valve to supply water in the water tank to the venturi part; and a step turning off the opening and closing valve when pressure of re-circulated gas is under the set pressure.
