METHOD FOR TRIGGERING FUEL AIR EXPLOSIVE MUNITION

PURPOSE: A triggering method of a FAE(Fuel Air Explosive) munition is provided to simplify the structure and to increase the operating reliability without a secondary triggering device. CONSTITUTION: A cartridge belt(1) is formed by an aluminum and one end of the cartridge belt is sealed by a cap(2). An explosive tube(3) is embedded in the center of the cartridge belt and a charging gunpowder(4) is filled inside the explosive tube. A fuel(5) is filled between the cartridge belt and the explosive tube. An igniting agent triggers the fuel-air cloud to be formed after the dispersion by the explosion of the gunpowder. Thereby, the triggering method is simple and the operating reliability is improved.
