PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display panel and a method for fabricating the same are provided to prevent the excessive etching at lower parts of a gate insulating film and a protecting film rather than upper parts thereof by stacking the gate insulating film and the protecting film with density lower at upper parts rather than lower parts thereof, thereby preventing the short of electric connection of transparent metals deposited on gate and data pad parts. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating an LCD panel includes the steps of forming gate wires and gate pads(Gp1) on a first substrate, stacking a gate insulating film(24) on the entire surface of the first substrate including the gate pad parts with a density decreasing upwardly, forming a plurality of data wires and data pads on the gate insulating film, and stacking a protecting film on the entire surface of the first substrate including the data pad parts with a density decreasing upwardly.
