PURPOSE: A Hangul input method of a mobile phone for the blind is provided to allow the blind to easily transfer a character message by setting a Braille key function. CONSTITUTION: A numeric/Hangul discrimination key is set to input characters for the blind(S1). It is judged whether an initial sound of a Hangul character is a glottalized sound or not sounded(S2,S3). If the initial sound is a glottalized one, a glottalization sound function key is depressed(S4) and a front consonant of the initial consonant forming the glottalized sound is inputted(S5). The following vowel is inputted(S7), and in this case, if the initial sound is not sounded, the no-sound is omitted(S6). It is judged whether a final consonant is to be inputted(S8). If there is a final consonant, it is inputted(S9) to complete a syllable(S10). It is judged whether the character should be spaced(S11). If the character should be spaced, a cursor is moved(S12) and then it is judged whether an initial sound of the next letter is to be inputted(S13). If, an initial sound of the next letter is not inputted, the inputted character is transferred(S14).
