A spraying apparatus has a duct (16) through which powder is transferred from a powder spray booth (12) to a cyclone separator (18) along a primary flow path. A pulse valve (30) selectively directs pressurized volume of air from an accumulator (32) towards the internal surfaces of the duct in the direction traversing the primary flow path so as to remove the powder adhered in the internal surfaces of the duct. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) powder transfer duct cleaning; (2) a powder spray system; and (3) a process for quick color change in a power spraying system.
