A user is guided through a dialogue system using speech recognition. At least one position in the dialogue system is marked as a start point and a corresponding address assigned and stored with a marker name. At a later time the user can access the dialogue system and jump straight to the address corresponding to the marker name and thus restart a dialogue process from that point.
