The method of cooling printed materials in a rotary printing press involves passing the material, from a pair of pressure cylinders exposed to drying heat, to a transfer cylinder. The heated material is exposed to a flow of cooling air to extract the drying heat, from a source below the transfer region. Claims include a printed material cooler using the method.
