PURPOSE: An apparatus for stopping idle rotation of a starting motor is provided to reduce noise and trouble by preventing vibration of an inside toothed gear transmitting rotary force to an over-running clutch. CONSTITUTION: An armature is installed on a housing on which an electronic switch is installed. A spline is formed on one side of an axis of the armature for a pinion of an over-running clutch is installed thereto. An inside toothed gear(5) is installed to transmit rotary power to the over-running clutch. A plurality of protrusions(7) are radially formed on a periphery of the inside toothed gear and arranged in a circumferential direction. A vibration absorbing rubber(8) is formed to have gaps for the protrusions to be inserted thereto, and inserted to the protrusions. The vibration absorbing rubber covers the periphery of the inside toothed gear. A fixing groove(9) is formed on an inner circumferential surface of a front side of the inside toothed gear and has a cover installed thereon. A snap ring(11) is installed to the fixing groove so that the cover is fixed to press a packing.
