PURPOSE: An array substrate with repair wires for a liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to simply repair the short of gate and data pad electrodes by forming repair wires, wherein the repair wires are formed in the step of forming the data wires with the same material with the data wires. CONSTITUTION: An array substrate with repair wires for a liquid crystal display device includes a transparent insulating substrate, gate wires(104) formed on the insulating substrate traversely with gate pad electrodes(102) extended therefrom, data wires(120) intersecting the gate wires for defining pixel areas, data pad electrodes(108) connected to the data wires, thin film transistors formed on the intersections between the gate and data wires, pixel electrodes formed on the pixel areas in contact with the thin film transistors, and repair wires(122a,122b) formed on the data and gate pad electrodes.
