A door for a shower cabinet is fitted to hinges set just behind a vertical cover strip fixed to the wall beside the cabinet. The edge of the door nearest to the wall is behind the cover strip when in the closed position. The cover strip is opaque while the shower door is transparent/translucent. The cover strip is fixed to the wall using simple brackets. No fittings and fasteners are visible on the front of the cover strip. In the fully open position the door is at right angles to the cover strip.
